Posted December 1, 200816 yr comment_5436123 DVD #9 4/30/82 Tiger Mask/Hamada vs. Perro Aguayo/Les Thornton - I dug this a lot, but it was JIP and rather short with an unsatisfying ending Black Tiger vs. Hoshino - They got really sloppy when they tried to up the pace and complexity of moves near the finish. Hoshino was better in tags. He didn't bring enough stuff or shades of character to fill 15-20 minutes of singles. Fujinami/Yatsu/Sakaguchi vs. SD Jones/Abby/Bad News - A disjointed mess. I enjoyed Yatsu bleeding and then trying to rally with a chair. But that's about it. 5/7/82 - Matches also on Classics 123 Black Tiger vs. Gran Hamada - I thought they had ruined it by going to a double countout just when the action was nearing climax. The restart brought excitement. But then they picked it up at a slower pace and never really regained the intensity of the first section. So yeah, they ruined it after all. Fujinami/Sakaguchi vs. Abby/Bad News Allen - Some fierce exchanges between Abby/Fujinami and Abby/Sakaguchi. But this was really just another set-up for an out-of-control brawl between these factions. Bad News was pretty useless in most of these '82 matches.
