The finish played off of their previous match, as Murdoch tried the brainbuster on the floor, but Fujinami blocked it, whipped him into the post and slid in to win by countout. I didn't like this as much as the last match as it had some periods of inactive limb work. Given the volume of nominated stuff from both these guys, I'll call it a just-miss. But I wouldn't object to someone else nominating it. Dynamite Kid vs. Tiger Mask - Dynamite dialed up the violence in this one, and Bret Hart added intrigue, serving as his Stampede buddy's second. In one great sequence, Tiger Mask did a bunch of flippy stuff to escape a headscissors and Dynamite grabbed him and just annihalated him with two straight backbreakers. I thought that epitomized his attitude in this match. It was like, "I'm not going to play clever with you anymore. I'm just going to break you." The finish, with Bret getting involved and Tiger Mask flipping Dynamite into the crowd out of desperation, set up the next match well. But this deserves to go on the set for its own virtues. 7/30/82 Tiger Mask vs. Bret Hart - They came out faster than in their February match and put on another good show. Bret made a perfect opponent for Sayama because his size and the authority of his moves gave him credibility, but he also took Sayama's hit-or-miss offense as well as anyone. On the other hand, his wrestling attire -- a loose-fitting gray singlet -- was awful. Match deserves to go on the block, gray singlet or no. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Adrian Adonis - This was OK, though Adonis went a little too far in taking crazy bumps off of blows that barely connected. Fred Blassie got involved and earned his man a DQ.
