Tiger Mask vs. Dynamite Kid (8/30 MSG) - Not up for the set and ridiculously overrated. Hulk Hogan vs. Masked Superstar - Fun while it lasted as they really blasted each other, but it was JIP and less than five minutes. Tiger Mask vs. Villano III - Villano III, bless his heart, made Tiger Mask look competent in the lucha mat exchanges. This didn't build into much of a match, however. Inoki/Fujinami vs. Rusher Kimura/Animal Hamaguchi - This was fine, but it's hard not to think forward to the Choshu's Army stuff a year later and realize how little charisma Kimura had in comparision. 9/10/82 Yatsu/Sakaguchi vs. Rusher Kimura/Hamaguchi - They showed the finish of the previous week's main event and cut right to this, JIP. Yatsu was already bloodied, and they basically beat on him until Fujinami ran in and fought with Hamaguchi. More of an angle builder than a match. Tiger Mask vs. Pete Roberts - Rocco tried to interfere pre-bell, but Roberts helped throw him out, showing himself to be an honorable competitor. He then did a nice job leading Tiger Mask through a bunch of matwork. They never really kicked it to another level, however, so it came off more as a friendly exhibition of moves than a competitive fight. Inoki/Fujinami/Hogan vs. Superstar/Slaughter/Chris Adams - Just a rule of thumb: When the highest ranked guy in one trio is beneath the lowest ranked guy in the other, you don't have much to work with.
