Posted December 7, 200816 yr comment_5436240 DVD #19 9/17/82 Tiger Mask vs. Chris Adams - They landed some stiff shots but never really found a flow. Hogan/Fujinami vs. Masked Superstar/Sgt. Slaughter - More pedestrian stuff. Inoki/Yatsu vs. Rusher Kimura/Hamaguchi - Kimura and Hamaguchi beat on Yatsu a bunch. Inoki entered and won within a few minutes. Blah. 10/1/82 - Matches also on Classics 132 Tiger Mask vs. Black Tiger - This was awful. Sloppy, nonsensical crap. Fujinami vs. Masked Superstar - Probably the best match on these two episodes. Fujinami worked as the physical underdog, even though he seemed likely to win the match. Superstar at least hit hard, so the dynamic worked. The crowd popped big when Fujinami won with a roll-up. But this might not have been one of his 100 best matches of the decade, so it's certainly not a nomination. Inoki vs. Rusher Kimura - I've never much liked this match-up. It tended to bring out some energy from Inoki, which was good, but Kimura never had the charisma or the offense to create a big match feel.
