DVD #21

Tiger Mask vs. Marty Jones - I like Jones but this was a weirdly imbalanced match in which he delivered almost all of the offense but Tiger Mask won out of noweher with a sunset flip. That's one of my least favorite Sayama varietals.

Bob Orton Jr. vs. Kengo Kimura - Protracted squash in which Orton looked quite good.

Inoki/Choshu/Fujinami vs. SD Jones/Abby/Bad News - The match where Choshu became Choshu. He and Fujinami started out arguing over who would begin the match. Then, they refused to tag in to one another. Finally, they progressed to outright blows. The weird thing was that Inoki, the supposed leader, looked on impassively as this all happened. Anyway, the match that served as a backdrop for this legendary feud starter wasn't thrilling. But it goes on the set, whether as a nomination or an extra. I'd make it an extra as I think we need to have a supplemental disk of stuff related to the Choshu-Fujinami feud anyway.

Tiger Mask/Osamu Kido vs. Les Thorton/Johnny Rodz - I kept waiting to like this as I'm a fan of the Euro guys, but it was kind of boring.

Fujinami vs. Abby - Kimura and Hamaguchi were out starting trouble pre-match. This never developed into much more than a brawl and as Abby brawls went, it was hardly an epic.

Inoki/Choshu vs. Bob Orton Jr./Bad News Allen - Pretty quick win for the natives. Inoki didn't treat Bad News as a top-tier opponent.
