First, he showed he could outwrestle him on the mat. Then, he showed he had counters for the high-flying stuff. And he did it all with an extra bit of violence, which caused Tiger Mask to throw stiffer shots in response. Good finish too. Sayama entered what would have been his finishing sequence against most guys, but Kobayashi knocked him off the top turnbuckle and hit him with a plancha. It ended in countout and they brawled post-bell, with Kobayashi trying to rip the mask. Definite nomination, though the match from two weeks later was even better. Appears on NJ TV 10/29/82 and NJ Classics 133
June 12, 200916 yr comment_5440634 Tiger Mask vs. Kuniaki Kobayashi (WWF Junior Title) - This match is so much better than the Black Tiger match. Nearly flawless in execution. Some crazy bumps, the mask tearing at the end. Has to be on the set.
August 23, 200916 yr comment_5443206 This did very little for the DC crew, I didn't hate it as much as Tomk did, but it did very little for me. I thought the matwork was dull, and I never thought this hit into a second gear, I am going to go no.
August 23, 200916 yr comment_5443218 I don't think I liked this on Schneider comp either...and just don't get the appeal at all.
