The wrestlers mixed in some wrestling and brawling. Adams did a neat looking Tope'. The finish blew, but it shouldn't keep this bout from making a nomination. Adams was good here, but Young was amazing. Good job from both men and a nomination
February 3, 200916 yr comment_5437014 “Gentleman” Chris Adams vs. “Gorgeous” Gary Young (7/21/89) Young takes a real pounding here to start the match bumping around like a pinball as Adams was pissed about his spike piledriver the week before. Young would get control though and started biting on Adams’ forehead but that didn’t last long as Adams was pumped up and went back to work on Young even using a figure-four leglock. Young to his credit fought back and eventually got a piledriver on Adams before bringing in a steel chair but misses Adams with it. Adams would hit a beautiful Superkick on Young but it would also knock down Tony Falk to the floor where Adams would nail both with a big tope suicida. Adams would then hit a piledriver on Young on the floor bringing out Cactus Jack who would take two big chairshots but with help from Akbar would nail him with his cast as the camera went black. Adams officially won this by DQ and this is a definite nomination as both men were just awesome here. One thing I’m not liking is the new camera shot from the side of the ring as they stay on it constantly.

This match is a great example. Slap an actual finish onto this thing, and it would be about as good as any match I've watched so far. As is, it still moves forward easily.
