Posted January 8, 200916 yr comment_5436726 “Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs. Al Madril (8/3/82) Flair is great here as he carries Madril to his best match I’ve seen so far and makes him look like a real credible challenger to him. Then we get a clip where we come back to the match with 3 minutes left so we missed like 2 minutes. Madril is giving it all he has trying to defeat Flair even breaking out the figure-four leglock that he would hold on to as the bell rang. Flair & Madril get into it again after the match and Flair follows up with a great promo. What was shown was great and even with the 2 minutes missing I think this should go on the block as a low-end nomination.

June 5, 201015 yr comment_5451649 Babyface Madril was pretty bad, but I'll give him credit, he had his game face on here. Really fired up, and I bought that he was bringing his A-game against the champ. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this wasn't a carryjob, as Madril more-or-less held his own. That figure-four looked like shit, but he threw a lot of good punches and his firey underdog babyface stuff was great. Flair gave a classic Flair-style performance. I came out of this wanting to see a rematch, which I'm not sure we ever got. It's not the best match either man has, but I'll agree with it as a low-end nom.
