Posted January 12, 200916 yr comment_5436766 Kevin Von Erich vs. Super Black Ninja (Keiji Muto) (12/16/88) This starts off in a wild brawl of course after their previous matches as both men brawl on the floor causing Bronko Lubich to call the match as Kevin works over Muto with a chair. They would eventually work towards the fire door where Kevin would put on the claw and kicked him out of the building. Then we get a promo by Buddy & SST about their match with Botswana Beast & Kamala. Next is a Fuller/Golden squash from Memphis. Then we get a Sid Vicious hype video and this is an extra. “Gentleman” Chris Adams & Jeff Jarrett vs. Cactus Jack & Gary Young (12/16/88) Jarrett comes out strong at the start with both heels bumping around for him especially Young. Adams comes in and slows the pace down and as he works over Young with an armbar they give out a phone number you could call to book Adams which was pretty cool. Adams & Jarrett really put the pressure on the heels using quick tags but Adams would fall prey to the heels double team moves and took some punishment. After Cactus would miss a running shoulderblock into the corner thus taking a header to the floor, Adams would get the hot tag to Jarrett setting off a 4-way brawl. Akbar would jump on the apron and ate some punches as well until Iceman Parsons ran out for the DQ. Brickhouse Brown would then run out to even the sides sending the heels running. Fun stuff. Brickhouse Brown vs. Iceman King Parsons (12/16/88) Brick comes out blazing on Iceman throwing punches in bunches and just beating the hell out of Iceman until he gets fouled. Iceman then takes his turn at pounding on Brick but it wouldn’t last long as Brick starts firing back with shots before locking in a sleeper. Brick would keep the pressure on Iceman until sure enough Cactus & Young would run out for the DQ which would bring Adams & Jarrett back out to make the save. The match was really going good until the schmozz at the end. “Flamboyant” Eric Embry vs. “General” Skandor Akbar (12/16/88) Gary Young dressed up as a woman again and attacked Embry and this is a definite extra. World Heavyweight Title: Jerry “The King” Lawler © vs. Kerry Von Erich (12/16/88) This is the Super Clash III rematch. Kerry whines before the match about the blood stoppage from their previous match saying that was a Tennessee way of stopping matches. Lawler is awesome early stalling around acting like a chickenshit getting the fans really pissed at him along with Kerry then sells like crazy as Kerry goes to work on him with the iron claw on his head and stomach. Lawler would eventually hit his piledriver which Kerry no-sold as Lawler strutted before decking him with a shot. Lawler would go for his chain after him & Kerry would battle on the floor as TV time ran out which sucked a dick.

Buddy Roberts Interview Fatu is bleeding, but that doesn't stop him and Samu from headbutting each other for kicks while Buddy Jack yells incomprehensibly in the background. Awesome. Sid Vicious hype video The sound is mixed really badly here. I can't really make out what the voice-over guy is saying. Still, it's Sid flexing and making funny faces. Isn't that enough to qualify for an extra? “Gentleman” Chris Adams & Jeff Jarrett vs. Cactus Jack & Gary Young (12/16/88) Good stuff, but almost totally one-sided. Brickhouse Brown vs. Iceman King Parsons (12/16/88) What Kris said. Fun while it lasted. World Heavyweight Title: Jerry “The King” Lawler © vs. Kerry Von Erich (12/16/88) There's a lot of fun shtick in this match, but there's a lot of fun shtick in all of Lawler's Texas matches. TV time ends just as this looked like it might kick into high gear.
