Big Van Vader/Italian Stallion vs. Antonio Inoki/Takayuki Lizuka

Not enough Inoki v. Vader, and too much Stallion v. Iziuka.

Jushin Liger vs. Shiro Koshinaka

9 minutes of fine Nitro style juniors wrestling, which is worth watching, but this isn’t the kind of thing which is going to distinguish itself.

Riki Choshu/Masa Saito/Kengo Kimura/Tatsumi Fujinami/Osamu Kido vs. Victor Zangiev/Vladimir Berkovich/Wakha Evloev/Shota Chochyshvili/Salman Hashimikov

This was a series of singles matches, not a gauntlet. Your first two matches were pretty bad, I am going to go ahead a nominate Zangiev v. Kido, which was about 7 minutes and all really goofy tricky mat work. Zangiev has a bunch of cool looking reversals which aren’t what you would expect. Hashmikov v. Saito was fun too, but not a set match.

What a weird match-up. The guys you'd actually want to see didn't do nearly enough.

I think I liked this more than Phil, because they really hit their stuff and hit it hard. But at the same time, it went less than 10 minutes and didn't build to any moment that felt important or special. I assume we'll find better examples of newly costumed Liger.

It was disappointing that they didn't structure this so the matches would relate to one another more. The Zangiev/Kido and Saito/Hashimikov matches were the definite highlights. I'm on the fence about Kido/Zangiev. I want at least one Zangiev match on the set and this had some nifty matwork. Pretty good ending too with Zangiev murdering Kido by suplex. I'll give it a nod for now but could see dropping it if I see a Zangiev match I strongly prefer.
