He walked through a lot of stuff and kept picking up a limp Takada at 2. SS Machine vs Williams - Easy win for Williams with Machine only getting in one brief run of offense. IWGP Tag Championship / Yamazaki, Fujiwara vs Kimura, Fujinami - Good match with lots of stuff that reinforced the hierarchy. Fujiwara and Fujinami always matched up well. But it lacked the heat or drama of some of the great title changes from the previous year. We already have too much stuff from all of these guys for this to stand out. January 25th: The Gifu industrial mansion '88 top of the super junior league match / Koshinaka vs Yamada - Clip ' 88 top of the super junior league match / Takada vs Yamazaki - Clip Handicap Match / Takano, Hoshino vs Vader - Fun squash. Vader tossed Hoshino about 10 feet to the floor on a press slam. I'm thinking we could do an extras section on Vader's introduction to NJ because it was effective and entertaining without producing many great matches. Fujinami vs Orton - Good performance by Bob with lots of nasty looking heelish offense and some theatrical bumping for Fujinami's stuff. It ended abruptly with Orton taking out the ref and thus, fell a bit short of setworthy. But Orton's NJ work has really raised my opinion of him overall. Hase, Choshu, Saito vs Hart, Sawyer, Williams - Fun collection of workers here with three good matchups in Choshu v. Sawyer, Williams v. Saito and Owen v. Hase. Buzz did some cool looking stuff, and Owen ate Choshu's decisive lariat like a man. It was short, however, and I wouldn't say it got beyond entertaining filler. With so many Choshu 6-mans already nominated, that's not enough.
