Vader sold it well too, especially near the end, after Inoki gored him with the timekeeper's hammer. Strong finish as Vader tried a move off the top only for Inoki to shift and catch him in an armbar. Vader came off as strong but clumsy and Inoki beat him not with force but with guile. Great atmosphere as well and this one should go on the block.
July 18, 200916 yr comment_5442068 I thought this was tremendous, the bloody arm, the crazy crowd, Vader's nasty punches and the awesome ending. This felt on first watch like is was on par with the Vader v. Sting stuff. Slam Dunk
July 18, 200916 yr comment_5442073 I think that was a socket wrench used for tightening ring ropes and not the bell hammer. This was really spectacular
August 11, 200916 yr comment_5442692 Vader hitting the enziguiri to send him outside was a grea tway to start things off. This was more back and forth than their 1996 classic but it is still a question of how much torture can Inoki withstand. Those shots Inoki took to the face looked brutal when Vader had him in the sitting stretch. Inoki attacking the bloody arm was nothing short of awesome and the finish was great. I think I like this more than the Vader-Hansen matches I watched today. Completely awesome.
