Buzz transitioned to offense with that awesome catch powerslam of his. He worked Fujinami's back with some nice suplex variations. This was mostly solid, technical Buzz as opposed to psychotic Buzz and he had no trouble hanging with Fujinami in this kind of match. I wouldn't put this among the top tier of Fujinami matches from 1988 but it was really good and a nomination.
May 27, 200916 yr comment_5439950 Tatsumi Fujinami vs. “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer (11/17/88) Buzz’s pink jacket is quite great here. We miss a little of the beginning here but not much to worry about as Fujinami works over Buzz’s left arm with Buzz howling like he is being raped crying out “PLEASE MAKE HIM BREAK IT.” Buzz would soon turn the tide catching Fujinami in the air for his patented powerslam that the crowd popped for before suplexing Fujinami around the ring in many ways including a great overhead belly to belly. Fujinami would come back though with a modified backbreaker before locking on the Dragon Sleeper but Buzz would get to the ropes. Fujinami would soon catch Buzz though with a schoolboy though for the pin. This was pretty good and should move forward.
June 4, 200916 yr comment_5440179 I enjoyed this a fair amount, Buzz's selling was really funny here, and I liked his suplexes, but this wasn't even close to the better Buzz matches in Mid-South or top Fujinami. Dug it, but this isn't good enough to make a set.
