Posted February 22, 200916 yr comment_5437643 Fun showcase for Funaki and Yamada, who hit about eight minutes worth of flashy offense in a 12-minute match. Takada didn't do much. Yamazaki ate most of the punishment and rallied all by himself when it was time to put the kids to bed. This was not a great match, but it's one of those that suggests what might have been if Funaki had stayed with pro style and also a testament to Yamada's early excellence. I'll move it forward for those reasons. Ginnetty 1988 Season, Disc 22
August 19, 200916 yr comment_5443011 I think this a match that will do well in the voting, I am not a big Funaki fan, but he looked very good here, and they had a lot of cool double teams. Moved at a nice pace, everything was hit clean and it had a cool ending. Good shit and it should make a set.
September 6, 200916 yr comment_5443872 I am like you guys in that it was a good match but for Funaki showcases, I don't think it comes close to the Anjo/Nakano match and we have tons of great Yamada on here to showcase him as well. This is the type of match I would include if we wer edoing a 200 matches set but we may have to cut it back to 150 if current recording trends continue. Anyway, no vote becuase we have more tags and matches by these guys that smoke this.
