Posted March 11, 200916 yr comment_5437943 Iceman King Parsons & Brian Adias vs. The Grappler & The Great Kabuki OK match. Percy Pringle was a pretty fun manager, and Kabuki looked sharp. Rick Rude vs. Lance Von Erich (American Title Match) Rude put forward a pretty good effort, but this wasn't anything special. Recap of The Missing Link breaking away from Pringle and hooking up with Sunshine This was a fun angle. I could see this making it as an extra. Sunshine is great as always, not knowing quite how to react when Link carries her off, and then cutting the promo later about Link's troubled past and how various heel managers had been abusing him, and how she wanted to make sure that never happened to him again. Scott Casey & Sunshine vs. John Tatum & Missy Hyatt (Mixed Tag Match) This was pretty fun. Missy never really did it for me, but I thought she was looking pretty good here. Plus she was always full of personality, and she and Tatum made a great duo. This falls short of a nomination, though. Iceman King Parsons vs. Jack Victory Bit of a low-end nomination, but this is a nice, tight fight between two guys who aren't afraid to lay it in. Victory is a real punk, trying egg on Parsons early and constantly going to the eyes later. He also takes a really nasty spill to the outside early in the match. Parsons is as rough as ever, and really gives it to Jack. Probably wouldn't go to the wall for it, but it's a really enjoyable match nonetheless. Gino Hernandez vs. Tommy Montana Fine competitive squash followed by Chris Adams running in and delivering a good beatdown to Gino. The Von Erichs vs. The Freebirds Clipped up, but looked pretty good. Full version would probably get a nomination. Freebirds Interview Bill Mercer catches up with the Birds at a local bar. Not quite their drive-in interview, but much the same spirit, and still nomination worthy. Buddy Roberts going over the film of their title win - literally - was gold. The Grappler vs. Brian Adias (Texas Heavyweight Title Match) Adias blows a backslide.
November 18, 200915 yr comment_5445885 I,ve talked about all of this except this. Iceman King Parsons vs. Jack Victory I thought this was a damn solid bout. It had the feel of the Super D/Parsons bout. Victory was good here with his work, and Parson's was his usual self. I agree a low end nomination.
January 4, 201015 yr comment_5446872 Again hitting up stuff I haven't seen. Iceman King Parsons vs. Jack Victory (1/10/86) Victory is starting to get a chance to shine and he looks pretty good here and the Super D comparison is a sound one. Jack is hard hitting here taking the fight to Iceman but Iceman would squelch that with a Mr. Wrestling II style kneelift. The finishing sequence was nice as well with Iceman hitting the Butt Butt as a counter so the match was good but I'm not feeling it as a nomination.
