So, who can do Beta Transfers, got some rare stuff

tall and skinny is, theres a sorta odd guy that comes to all the local shows, and for some reason, he's my best friend- he always buys older stuff (nothing post 89) and is always looking for older stuff -

anyway, a week ago, he asked me if i could transfer some BETA tapes he had. I'm pretty sure someone here had done some before, so i told him i think i could get it done, depending what it was. This guy has some Knoxville area and ICW stuff from 78-82 he thinks is the time frame, started throwing names at me, Orton, Savage, Poffo, Garvin etc etc. He is willing to pay, but he says he has alot of them, still in really good shape, and doesn't want to lose an arm and leg getting them onto a dvd or even a vhs.

my question is, with something this rare, does anyone want to take the task on - i'll get the tapes from him and send them to you, if you can convert them. I know theres not alot of people here that can do it, and obviously with this guy having these he keeps telling me how he's leary to let anyone have them, so obviously a solid rep is a must.

if theres any takers, let me know....i kinda wanna see what kinda stuff is on these tapes with macho, especially since it seems his pre-wwf stuff is really hard to find outside of the stuff thats been released a bajillion times.

I'm lobbying to convert these.

First i want to say thank you to Romdam for converting these videos for me, i would recommend him to anyone reading right now.

With that being said, the first set is complete, its here. Now, i haven't went thru and done the menus on em, that will happen tomorrow, along with the match list - but let me say that if you dig on classic wrestling you need this set. I don't think 75% of this set has ever been seen, and the other 25% probably not in this good of quality, and its virtually a what's what, and who's who of southern territory wrestling from approx 1978-1984. The set is 7 discs, and has alot of guys on it, you've probably never heard of. Its got guys, that i was shocked to see (i almost thought i had Terry Gibbs winning a match on here) This set has David Sammartino's first match for Mid Atlantic, this set has Roddy Piper at his best, and lastly it has some guy that looks like Randy Savage, but, he's blonde, has the bonesaw beard, and hasn't quite developed that gravely voice we all know and love (theres at least a half dozen macho man clips on the first disc alone)

As i said, the set is 7 discs, and i need 10 sign ups for it. The first 5 that either reply here they want it, or send me a pm (and i'll go by time) get it for 20$ the second five signups get it for 25$.

the match listing will be here tomorrow evening, and it will be shipping once all signups/payments have been made-

I'll add the match listings as i go thru them today, with this post..... i know alot of people like the old commercials with stuff like this, i personally think they're cool, and if they catch my eye i seperate them, throw them in a pile, and eventually make a disc - this time, i'm just chopping them and making them a bonus section on the dvds.
