OK, New Japan is near completion and TX is going full force.

After that, it looks like we are going to tackle the NWA and All Japan sets. Now, we have some decisions to make.

I think AWA would be a good set to tackle. We have TV seasons out there, I have all of the Classics on ESPN run and we have an ally in KHawk for nearly all available footage.

For NWA, I have already nominated a ton and Kris Z has already nominated a ton of early stuff. Phil has indicated he wants to take a break from Japan and will be on the NWA squad. Childs and Eric R will tackle All Japan with me.

So, for shoe and SLL, are either of you willing to jump on AWA after the TX set? I also have some Portland and Joshi that also need working on. Let me know what you guys think. If anyone has a preference other than waht I have listed above, let me know.

With NJ, TX, AJ, NWA and AWA coming out, that also gives us a couple of years to track down more stuff for Portland, lucha and Europe.

Feel free to contact me for footage, I can send out discs to whomever might need them, or send one big set to someone with a duplicator.

The AWA 1982 Year in Review set is a must as it has pretty much all available 1982 footage on it. The AWA Winnipeg discs cover almost everything that aired in that market between 84 and January of 1986 (plus I have a supplemental list of all matches that aired in Winnipeg available on disc for cross-referencing). Will having the ESPN Classics stuff should cover 86-90 pretty thorughly although I can go through those lists for matches and gaps and fill them in (if there are any gaps, that is). The various World Pro discs cover a bunch of stuff unaired in North America as well. the PWUSA set covers everything pretty nicely from the middle of 1984 through 1985.

My AWA Super Mix series will also be good here as it highlights a lot of the better matches in the 80's between bigger-name guys.

Ideally I can get year in Review sets for 1980, 81, and 83 done by the time the AWA set gets going. Those sets will help tremendously IMO. There will be some gaps here and there but not many.

My head is spinning.

I've finished watching all my Texas footage. Still need to do a bunch of write-ups for the discs, but I've finished actually watching the stuff I have.

Also really need to finish my Memphis ballot, as it would be kind of a shame if I fell down on that one. Admittedly taking way too long with that one, partially because my Disc 5 was faulty and it took a while before I could get my hands on a working one (and now my disc 6 is on the fritz, too, but really want to watch the rest so I don't lose any more time and so that I can know whether or not any of the remaining discs are screwy before I ask for replacements), but also my own damn fault for getting distracted by other things and being a guy who will occasionally drag his feet at certain points.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'd probably love to work on the AWA set, but right now I'd just like to concentrate on taking care of the projects I've already committed to and worry about later later.

Dude, I just read that and was looking at his profile about 30 seconds ago. I was just about to post close to the same thing. Everyone involved in this project is someone that either Phil or I personally trust/like and/or respect (even if we disagree) and/or brings something to the table. We are not bringing strangers into this just so matches get watched.
