Mark Youngblood vs. One Man Gang Fun match. Gang rules it, and Youngblood looks good hanging tough against his massive opposition. Rick Rude vs. Brickhouse Brown Didn't really stand out as much as I'd have hoped a match between these two would. Fritz Von Erich & Michael Hayes Interview Fritz cutting a babyface promo where he talks about beating his kids might belong as an extra on general principle. Pretty good, in any case. Kerry Von Erich & Bruiser Brody vs. Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy Man, Brody and Gordy really worked well with each other, and this is a great opportunity to see them work in each other in a match that actually gets some time. Both Brody and Kerry get to play fice-in-peril here at different points. Brody actually sells pretty reasonably for the 'Birds. I mean, he is not Ricky Steamboat. His selling will not set your world on fire, but he is doing his fair share, and he does come across as a real asskicker in comparison to his underwhelming previous run in the company. Hayes and Kerry are also not afraid to beat the shit out of people, and this is just a great match with four tough guys wailing on each other. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
November 13, 200916 yr comment_5445822 All other bouts have been viewed. Kerry Von Erich & Bruiser Brody vs. Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy I didn't like this as much as SLL, but still l.iked it. The bout had a lot of neat sections, but didn't equate to a great bout for me. Though the sections with Gordy and Brody were awesome. Just on their merits this should move forward. I hope that Barbed Wire bout that Ginnetty just found As it is is the big singles bout between the 2 that we have hoped it is I'll co sign this nom. I also thought KVe and Hayes were good here too. I just thought Brody and Gordy just overwhelmed them with their brawling with one another.
January 6, 201016 yr comment_5446971 One Man Gang vs. Mark Youngblood (4/4/86) This was fine as Gang was at his peak during this time period and Youngblood was very competent. "Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Brickhouse Brown (4/4/86) Like SLL you would hope better from these two but it was just there although both men showed some charisma. Next is a great dueling Fritz/Michael Hayes promo that is a definite extra. Bruiser Brody & Kerry Von Erich vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy & Michael "PS" Hayes) (4/4/86) Brody & Gordy start this match by kicking the shit out of each other so you know this is going to be fun. Brody takes punishment from both Birds before the match before Kerry gets in throwing some great punches until he eats a big boot from Gordy. Birds got a ton of offense here on Kerry before Brody got the hot tag and a wild brawl would ensue with Gordy locking on the Oriental Spike on Brody. Again another wild brawl would break out with Rick Hazzard calling for a DDQ. This was great as everyone was just pounding each other with great heat and this definitely moves forward.
