Posted May 17, 200916 yr comment_5439586 Another good, heated tag match built around the animosity between Choshu and Tenryu. They went head to head a good bit, with each guy needing to be saved from the other's submission hold. The supporting guys really elevated the match as well with a lot of nice double teaming. I dug Inoue taunting Choshu by holding Teranishi in a scorpion and staring down his boss. Guys were flying all over the place at the end, and I didn't mind the DQ finish given that this was a feud builder. Solid nomination. AJ TV 1/19/85
May 15, 201015 yr comment_5450857 Early on, these guys were going non-stop. Of course, the Choshu-Tenryu feud took center stage. Choshu looked especially grumpy with every move having an extra snap to it. However, it was the supporting guys that made this stand out. Teranishi and Ishikawa really stood out as working extra hard. Childs already mentioned the captains applying their submissions. The biggest thing to hurt this match is the bad ending when there are 4 guys who could have taken the fall without hurting the feud. Still, I second the nomination.
September 27, 201015 yr comment_5456345 Mighty Inoue, Takashi Ishikawa, & Genichiro Tenryu vs. Animal Hamaguchi, Riki Choshu, & Isamu Teranishi (1/10/85) God I love Tenryu as he just doesn't give a fuck even before he turned on Jumbo he would act like a cocksucker and I think this feud with Choshu brought it out of him. The microphone going out during the ring intros was funny. Lots of great hair here as Teranishi was slicked like hell, Choshu had his flowing locks, Hamaguchi's helmet was in its full glory, Tenryu was fully quothed, & Inoue was rockin his 1957 haircut well. This was good fast paced action with everyone working hard with the main focus being on Choshu/Tenryu but the other guys were solid in their roles as well and didn't drag the match down. I loved the dueling sasorigatames by Choshu/Tenryu and the partners making the saves before the hot finish where Ishikawa would get put in the tree of woe and Ishingun refusing to stop their attack prompting the DQ. This was a blast watching the secondary guys step up their game to hang with the main players and this moves forward.
