Posted June 4, 200916 yr comment_5440187 Really disagree with Childs I thought this was awesome. Lots more cool heel schtick from the Americans, and your long finish run between young lion Goto and Murdoch was really spectacular. Seems weird to see Goto have a nothing career after his monster push here. DVD #16
June 4, 200916 yr comment_5440192 We need to see if we can get a more complete version from classics as this ' JIP felt really abrupt. Sakaguchi isn't much of anything, the Saito v Murdoch sections were awesome as Murdoch was absolutely flattening Saito's flat nose, andGoto may have had the best fighting spirit young lion performance of the 80s in his long hot near fall section with Murdoch. The crowd was super hot behind Goto and left this match wondering what he did to prevent him from getting a super push.
June 4, 200916 yr comment_5440208 I might have just thought it was less great than the other stuff in the tourney, which I loved about as much as anything we've discovered with all this NJ watching. I'll have to check it out again, but I'm certainly not averse to having a big chunk of this stuff on the set. Glad you guys dug this stretch overall.
August 16, 200916 yr comment_5442862 Early on, great elimination tease as Gotoh and Murdoch are both at risk of falling off the arpon with all 6 guys trying to save their partners and simultaneously get the other guy out. The Orton and Sakaguchi eliminations came completely out of left field but I love the way Murdoch took him out. Shit, I didn't expect the Saito elimination. One of the collest elimination saves ever when Murdoch is saved from being pushed out. Great stuff. The Gotoh-Murdoch stretch run was pretty hot and the way the eliminations came, I had no idea who was going to win. You had hope for Gotoh after the first brainbuster and the near ringouts on Murdoch but the 2nd brainbuster was decisive and you knew he wasn't getting up. I am with phil and I thought this was awesome. I liked this much better than the 12/28/87 six man and slighly better than the Southern Boys Six Man.
