Tim Noel has about 28 volumes (mostly 4 hrs each, some of the early volumes from 1992 are 2 hrs each) covering the entire existance of SMW. With the Mid South collection from Barnett, I would like to try to get a comprehensive SMW set together. Noel charges 12.00 per tape but when you order 6 or more, Bulk discounts start to take affect. The 4 hr comps are dubbed in LP. Any interest?

Lynch has every TV show (masters without the comml placements) but would be expensive. We could fill in the comml tape holes that Noel doesn't include on his comps from Lynch (I think the 6-8 comm tapes they release would fit on to 2 8 hr tapes).

Anyway, just a thought to think over.

I'm considering going in on this, but I'm still in the process of working out multiple deals with Helmet.

I'm also in the process of converting my WWF, WCW, shoot interview, and UFC tapes to DVD, so I could be tied up for QUITE a while doing that.

Barnett's Memphis stuff is so hit and miss in terms of quality as well as organization. With Will ordering Lawler/Flair from Noel, I am sure we can find a better source down the line.

I am looking at Barnett AAA DVD's from 1993-1995 as well as his 1993 Japan TV set eventually.

Now way down the line, I would like to get Lynch to comp EMLL from 1992-1997 but that will cost a ton so it is just a future thought right now.

Loss and I have been talking about Barnett's AAA comps for some time now. Maybe with the Some Guy comps, I'll have some trade bait to acquire a good chunk of those from someone.

As for the EMLL, I would be very interested in going in on some quality lucha. The ideal time would be in early August when I get the summer school check. By that time, I should have a large amount of my VHS transferred, a large chunk of Loss's stuff transferred and the NWA transferred.

I've got a ton of Barnett's stuff (the 1970s Japan stuff, a fair chunk of the lucha, all the NWA and Mid South) and the 18 Mid Atlantic discs that Cornette rescued. I guess a bunch of you have the same stuff, but if there's anything I can add to sweeten the trading deal I'd be happy to, as well as chucking in some money, as long as someone can convert them to DVD for me. Let me know.

Oh, and I've got the first 6 volumes of his 1993-95 AAA comps (12 discs). There's a whole lot o' goodness on them bad boys!

EDIT: I'm not just saying this shit to be all "I'm Johnny Lots-O-DVDs", but I'm well up for getting these SMW things so if my collection can be used for that, all the better.

Mortimer, don't feel bad for pointing out what you own. That is the entire point of this sub-forum... to be able to organize our lists of matches and shows worth pursuing. If we can all help each other out here then more power to ALL of us. Each time you mention something you acquire or already have, it is just one more thing to go on my wishlist and I know exactly where to find it.

One of my regular traders in Austria has a bunch of SMW events and house shows, and as I'd be able to trade him for some of it, it wouldn't cost as much:

So if this is any help to people...

When I talked to Tim about it many months ago, he said that SMW could wait. However, KZ has the first 66 volumes of SMW TV from master copies. Plus, Ryan Robb has a ton of SMW from masters as well. I have been disappointed with a few TIm Hoel discs including the Ivan Koloff shoot and the Crockett Cup 1986. I would recommend getting it from another source.
