Posted June 7, 200916 yr comment_5440305 Episode #315 2/18/98 11/11/88 Dick Murdoch/Bob Orton Jr. vs. Seiji Sakaguchi/Masa Saito (Sky A 111) - Early on, Murdoch and Orton don’t do anything fancy, just good old fashioned teamwork, keeping Saito from getting the tag. One spot has Saito getting tripped by Murdoch, only to get a knee in the head from Orton who had just tagged in. Unfortuantely, the hot tag wasn’t really treated as such. The match ends shortly after with Murdoch rolling Sakaguchi up in a small package. However, the camera man missed the finish again since he was pre-occupied with Orton and Saito on the outside. Orton and Murdoch were pretty fun in this but the match is not a nomination. 11/11/88 Masahiro Chono/Tatsumi Fujinami/Shinya Hashimoto vs. Tracy Smothes/Steve Armstrong/George Takano (Sky A 111) - Fun as hell. Hash kicking Smothers into alcoholism early on may make up for the lack of karate standoff. That Armstrong dropkick was also sweet as fuck. You guys covered the main points. It goes on.
