Posted June 7, 200916 yr comment_5440333 #219 10/7/97 December 10, 1985 Bruiser Brody vs. Tatsumi Fujinami - Energetic but I am beginning to think that the piledriver on the floor was a pretty basic spot in Japan and not a Harley Race specific flaw. Anyway, not much of a match. Antonio Inoki vs. Dick Murdoch - Early on, they work some headlock spots but I get interested when Murdoch starts working the arm. I get a kick out of little shit like stepping on the fingers so he can stomp on the arm. With Murdoch in control, they mix it up enough where it never gets too boring. Inoki takes control on a leg trip that leads to an Indian Death lock which leads in to a bow and arrow which he turns into a pinning combo. Just a beautiful sequence. After Inoki continues to work on the legs, Murdoch makes his comeback hitting his big signature spots. The one flaw here is he starts off selling the leg but that disappears shortly in to the comeback. OH FUCK! Look at Murdoch’s face after Inoki hits the finishing enziguiri. Great, great stuff and a definite nomination.
