March 22, 1984

Seiji Sakaguchi, Tatsumi Fujinami & Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs. Riki Choshu, Yoshiaki Yatsu & Higo Hamaguchi

- Super match with a hot early angle and insane heat. Choshu may be my favorite wrestler from 1983-1987. IN a way, I can see Childs’ point about the Machines because Team Choshu has some of the coolest multi-man moves around but you know who each guy is so it is easier to rally around the individuals. This is going on.

March 20 (30), 1984, Tokyo - Korakuen Hall

Kuniaki Kobayashi & Isamu Teranishi vs. Nobuhiko Takada & Norio Honaga

- I think some of the things these guys were pulling off here in 1984 must have been mind boggling. Honaga’s comeback on Kobayashi specifically comes to mind. I absolutely loved the sequence where Takada sweeps Kobayashi, preps him for a tombstone to only get dropkicked by Isamu into a pin. This allows Kobayashi to recover and execute a tombstone on Takada. Beautiful. This is a match Phil will probably hate but that has to be on the set.

Seiji Sakaguchi & Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Masked Superstar & Don Muraco

- This was ok I guess but nothing I’ll remember a day or two from now.
