Posted June 10, 200916 yr comment_5440544 #167 May 24, 1984 Dick Murdoch vs. Adrian Adonis (IWGP League '84) - Technical Murdoch vs. Technical Adonis isn’t very interesting. These guys are ass kickers but there was no ass kicking going on. These guys were tentative like tag partners would be when facing each other but it wasn’t very interesting to watch. Wish these guys would have had a break-up angle and feud befre parting ways. Too bad. Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Riki Choshu & Masa Saito (5/24/84) - This is pretty cool to watch right after the 5/18 Inoki-Choshu match. Choshu attacks Inoki after getting the tag from Saito but Inoki is caught in his own Indian death lock so Choshu nails him and hits him with the powerslam. Cool stuff. There were some segments where these guys laid around a little too long for my liking. I also didn’t like the ending where Choshu gets disqualified. Inoki should have just laid down for the lariat. there was some cool stuff but not enough for a nomination. June 1, 1984 Andre the Giant vs. Riki Choshu (IWGP League '84) - Andre squashes Choshu. It was kind of funny when Andre was giving Choshu the bearhug, Andre was on his knees and taller than Choshu.
