Posted June 15, 200916 yr comment_5440737 #139 January 6, 1983, Tokyo - Korakuen Hall Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Rusher Kimura & Higo Hamaguchi - Fujinami was ripping shit up in the beginning. Whether it was squaring off against Kimura and hitting the enziguiri or the little stretch with Hamaguchi. At one point, Hamaguchi is going for the bulldog, gets rammed into his own corner and Fujinami has a backdrop driver waiting for him as he stumbles back. Pretty sweet stuff. The end was better in theory as it looks like Inoki barely connected with the enziguiri to put Hamaguchi out. Part of me really liked this match but I am completely on the fence. April 21, 1983, Tokyo - Sumo Hall Akira Maeda vs. Paul Orndorff - I was kind of disappointed that Orndorff didn’t play up his Wonderful persona more like the last match between the two. Tiger Mask vs. Dynamite Kid (NWA Junior Title Decision) - Tiger Mask executes a really nice plancha early on. Lots of laying around on the mat in this one. Like the August match, you can tell they are going long. This one was much more action=packed though with big bumps from both men. I am not going to go to the wall for it and nominate it though.
