Instead, they laid on the mat for a long time until Inoki put it away with an Octopus. No vote. Riki Choshu vs. Tatsumi Fujinami (WWF International Title) - This started out action-packed as it always does when these two meet up. They fought in the figure-four for an awfully long time. Choshu should sell the leg the rest of the match. Since Fujinami was also softened up in the figure-four struggle, Choshu tries to set him up for the Scorpion which causes Fujinami to bail. In the meantime, Choshu is massaging his legs, still selling the figure 4. Gotta respect that. Awesome spot where Fujinami was able to break a head scissors by lifting the legs off of him due to Chochu’s weakened state, and Choshu and Fujinami just start kicking each other’s legs all set up by the figure-4 and counters from earlier on. There was a point later on where bothguys have weakened legs, Fujinami gets whipped, Choshu puts his head down so Fujinami knee lifts him, injuring Choshu and his knee in the process. Great. Choshu ends up winning by countout but the way he did it was completely fucking awesome. STRONG RECOMMENDATION. I really loved this match. May 6, 1983 Hulk Hogan vs. Killer Khan (IWGP League '83) - Sweet exchange early on as Khan slaps Hogan so Hogan lifts Khan, puts him on the turnbuckle and slaps him off as a receipt. This I s a little too slow for my liking, knowing that they can really go at it. The ending picked up a bit and Hogan puts the match away with the axe bomber. I didn’t hate this. I don’t think this will make it past the first round of cuts so I have no desire to nominate it.
