Posted June 15, 200916 yr comment_5440744 #176 8/7/97 November 1, 1984, Tokyo The Cobra vs. Black Tiger - (NWA Junior Title) - I appreciate Black Tiger’s attempt to work the leg and Cobra countering with the same when he took advantage. It looked pretty natural here and made sense. Much better than the DK-TM stuff I watched yesterday. This was a much better match than I expected since I don’t really care for Black Tiger as of late. Great sequence as Cobra tries to get Tiger in to a Sharpshooter. Tiger doesn’t turn so cobra end sup getting him on his shoulders for a quick count. Tiger grabs Cobra’s mask and gets his foot loose and kicks Cobra in the face. Nice. I thought it was going to a double countout but it picked up for a really nice stretch run for the final German suplex. I think this will be a big hit on the set for Jr. Fans. Nomination. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Bob Orton Jr. - (WWF International Title) - What the hell, Orton comes to the ring riding a horse. Then Fujinami comes entering in with a Chinese Dragon. What the fuck? These are like Wrestlemania entrances I like both guys and enjoyed the match but I don’t think anyone will miss it if it isn’t there. Good solid work but this isn’t even close to Fujinami’s best work on the set. If we want to represent Orton, I guess you put it on but I don’t think anyone will cry foul if it is left off. Antonio Inoki vs. Strong Machine #2 - Blah match. They brawl early on but inside the ring, they just traded holds and you would have no idea that the Machines were the new super-threat.
