10/19/88 Yoshiaki Fujiwara/Osamu Kido vs. Steve Williams/Tony St. Clair

- Well, that’s nice. The cameraman botched the ending when Kido ends up pinning St. Clair after something or other. Blah.

10/19/88 Shiro Koshinaka/Kengo Kimura vs. El Canek/Perro Aguayo

- This is where you kind of wished you had Yamada as Perro was really good here also. The Mexicans give an ass kicking to Koshinaka and Kimura with some really nifty double team moves. Perro’s facial expressions were also really good… The pain after being kicked in the gut, being caught in a head vice. Really hot ending with the natives picking up the win. I have no problem with this moving forward. I think there could have been more build but I enjoyed this more than the Yamada tag which was a near miss for me.

10/19/88 Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Masa Saito

- It looks like a squash early on with Bam Bam dominating. Saito looked like he was going to pop when trying to fight out of the bearhug. It is so weird to see Saito as spunky little underdog when he is usually the big bully. I can see both sides of the argument. Bam Bam looks like a monster and Saito plays underdog really well getting the crowd behind him. However, there are so many other matches better than this that I can’t see anyone voting this match very high. Hell, I liked the Perro tag way more than this and it probably won’t make it past the next round. No vote.
