I guess that is when the JIP was in effect on the TV version. Once theybroke away from the match, I lost interest and I love Maeda. Too bad. 3/16/87 Antonio Inoki/Saiji Sakaguchi vs. Kengo Nagasaki/Mr. Pogo - No. 3/16/87 Tatsumi Fujinami/George Takano vs. Keiji Mutoh/Shiro Koshinaka - Really exciting intro as Mutoh and Koshinaka just go on the attack before the streamers can be cleared. Fujinami ends up getting caught in their corner and they spend the early part of the amtch working on Fujinami’s arm. Some of it neat, some of it dull. When Takano gets in, he suffers the same fate early on. That spike piledriver looked NASTY but I really wished it would have come later in the match when it meant something. Really love that Fujinami is selling the arm when he is tagged back in. There was one point where Takano had Mutoh on the ground and went to tag Fujinami and Fujinami looked at him like he was fucking stupid. Classic. Can’t you tell the man has a gimpy arm? Really hot ending as they try to throw every signature move in their arsenal at Takano but Fujinami keeps saving him. When Fujinami comes in, he is able to put Kosh away with a back suplex. Really fun match here. Low-level Nomination.
