3/20/87 Masahiro Chono vs. Shinya Hashimoto

- I really enjoyed watching this. However, I don’t know if the appeal was because they were so young or if I actually liked the match. You could tell the crowd didn’t give a shit about these guys which is a shame because I really enjoyed watching it. Chono pulls out the upset after Hash kicked his ass for the last 5 minutes.

3/20/87 Keiji Mutoh/Shiro Koshinaka vs. Akira Maeda/Nobuhiko Takada

- Early on, feeling out process, with Maeda and Takada throwing shoot kicks and Mutoh and Koshinaka not really having an effective way to respond. Awesome counter to the butt bump as Maeda catches Koshinaka and gives him a German in one motion. Action is hit or miss when Takada is in but I think I enjoyed every Maeda section. The guy is just a badass. Where Takada is stuck between both UWF and his old Junior style, Maeda kicks the hell out of you and tosses you around and it is up to you to counter or capitalize such as when he misses a spin kick. Mutoh and Koshinaka score the upset on a sloppy small package. Also, it seems off that Mutoh was fighting to get back in the ring with Maeda holding him when Koshinaka scored the pin. Nomination.
