Posted June 17, 200916 yr comment_5440809 2/3 falls which is pretty rare for this set, solid match for the first fall, but it really picks up in the second and third fall. Keirn and Kid are both vicious in this they are just killing Hoshino, this is the Kid I like a nasty asskicker, not a million moves guy. Fujinami is great here too, and hits the craziest fucking tope ever in the third fall. Great match to open up the set with. Ginnety disc 10
June 24, 200916 yr comment_5441096 Hoshino, Fujinami vs Kid, Keirn (1/18/80) - I enjoyed the 1st fall just fine. The guys kept the action moving and when DK would try to go for his patented Juniors rest holds, Fujinami and Hoshino would both stay active and work out of the holds. I really liked the manhandling of Hoshino after Keirn came in and nailed him with the forearm. Teasing the leap from the top rope to the floor, Hoshino getting trapped in the corner and the failed attempts at tagging in Fujinami, all good. Even when Hoshino does make the tag, he hoops to the corner because of the damage to his leg. I mark out for little shit like that. I was expecting Hoshino to take the fall but I enjoyed the first fall. Alone, it would have fallen short of a nomination but I enjoyed it. 2nd fall starts off with Hoshino being brutalized again but they are just dismantling him. A little sloppy at times but never boring. Great ending with DK setting up for the same ending as the 1st fall but missing the headbutt and getting pinned as a result. Great back and forth action in the third fall with an INSANE dive from Fujinami. Seriously, that was freaking great!!! Add the ending with Hoshino getting caught in Keirn’s arm and this must go on. Easy nomination.
July 14, 200916 yr comment_5441940 I wasn't as into this as you guys. I liked the symmetry of the first fall ending on a Dynamite headbutt and the second fall ending on a missed Dynamite headbutt. The ending was fantastic. But a lot of the stuff in between was so-so. I can't pick out a lot of flaws. It just didn't seem to have that extra kick. I'm pretty sure there are 150 matches I like better. Maybe I'll rewatch at some point to see if it just didn't hit me right, but I'm leaning no.
