Posted June 18, 200916 yr comment_5440856 I enjoyed this a bunch, Andre has great charisma with both Hogan and Andre, he was super agile in this, bumping big and flying around. Including missing a giant splash. They did a great comedy spot which ends with Andre getting kicked in the butt. I am a big Andre mark so I might be overrating it, but I am going to nominate this. June 24, 200916 yr comment_5441089 Andre the Giant & The Hangman vs. Hulk Hogan & Stan Hansen (11/28/80) - The thing that really stands out here is Andre’s mobility. Hansen and Hogan double teaming looked like a good strategy because both are strong enough to rock Andre off his feet. The tag was solid but unspectacular when Hangman was in but Andre was just so full of life. I really don’t like the ending as Hangman was right there to take a fall. Good solid stuff for a low-level nomination but we already have low-end Andre. We need more high end.
July 15, 200916 yr comment_5441992 I really enjoyed watching Andre work against Hogan and Hansen. It was amazing to see him create most of the movement in a match when, a few years later, others would have to build matches around his immobility. He switched so effortlessly from indestructible to funny to vulnerable. I agree with Will that this was lower end Andre that might have to come off at the end. But I'd like to keep it as a demonstration of how different he was in 1980.
