Tatsumi Fujinami 4/3/80 What we got was pretty great, especially the finish with a bloody Fujinami choking out Hara, but we pretty much only got the end run and I think it is too JIP to put on a set. A shame that there isn’t a classics version of this match Stan Hansen v. Antonio Inoki 4/3/80 Man do these guys work great together. Really stuff violent mat wrestling to start, and then they went into an insane for 1980 end run. I mean it looked like a 1999 NOAH end run, verticle suplex on the apron, Inoki doing a top rope knee to the floor, I mean just crazy shit. Slam Dunk nomination Inoki v. Singh 4/13/80 This is their infamous Mexico City match, wasn’t as bad as the legend, but nothing which will make a lucha set Bob Backlund, Tatsumi Fujinami v. Stan Hansen, Dusty Rhodes 5/23/80 This was worked as a Parejeas Incredblias, with Dusty and Hansen as feuding tag partners, fun interactions between those two and the whole thing ends in a giant gaijin battle royal with Dusty, Hogan, Backlund, Hansen and Andre. Tatsumi Fujinami v. Pete Roberts 8/29/80 I know we have a bunch of Roberts fans here, and we get to see Roberts work a singles match, lots of cool mat reversals as you might expect. A little short, so this is more of a mid level nomination, but you all should check it out. Hulk Hogan v. Strong Kobyashi 10/17/80 Three minute squash, we do get to see Hogan’s slipping powerslam Paul Orndorff v. Riki Choshu 10/17/80 I am not an Orndorff fan, he does a lot of stuff, but most of it looks bad. I liked Choshu fine in this, but this isn’t anything I recommend. Ueda, Singh v. Fujinami, Inoki 10/17/80 Pretty dull, I would kind of like a Singh match on the set, but still haven’t found one
