June 24, 200916 yr comment_5441095 Stan Hansen vs. Antonio Inoki (4/3/80) - Hansen is killing Inoki’s neck early on. Those knees to the neck were making me uncomfortable. Not only looks vicious but great setup for the lariat. I love how Inoki was forced to the outside after Hansen inflicted damage and after Inoki nails the enziguiri, Hansen has to take the breather. Hansen keeps Inoki honest on the mat so there were no long boring holds since both guys kept it moving. The suplex off the apron probably sounded better in theory than in execution and while the ending was clean following a SUPER cool knee from Inoki to the outside, another match where a suplex finishes the match. Not my favorite Inoki-Hansen match but an easy nomination. I need to watch the match that Loss nominated again because everyone else called it a surefire nomination and I was apathetic towards it.
