Posted June 20, 200916 yr comment_5440969 #109 September 23, 1981, Tokyo - Den-en Coliseum Tiger Mask vs. Solar I - This was moving along nicely until Solar appeared to separate his shoulder legit. He tried to work through it, but the match had to be stopped after a few minutes. Tatsumi Fujinami vs El Solitario (WWF Junior Title) - This was good though I'm ot sure good enough to beat out all of the Fujinami competition for a spot on the set. It had a lucha vibe as they started on the mat but didn't really work body parts. They built the pace and traded dives in the finishing stretch. Fujinami absolutely drilled Solitario with a tope suicida. I would like to have seen Solitario put up more fight at the end. I'm on the fence with this one. I guess I'll put it up for discussion at least. Stan Hansen vs. Andre the Giant - We've already covered the greatness of this match. Antonio Inoki vs Tiger Toguchi - Toguchi really clubbed Inoki from the bell, and Inoki got pissed, firing back with some hard straight rights. The match cooled a little from there, and Inoki finished him off pretty easily. But it was nice that Toguchi at least stirred his competitive streak.
