Posted June 21, 200916 yr comment_5440985 This was a good showcase of everything Hamada could do. Suplexes, submissions, brawling, dives to the floor. He really had a huge arsenal, especially for the era. Sayama, for his part, played to the striker side of his character, which is the version of him I like the most. So this was good. Not focused enough to be great but worth moving forward. NJ Classics 111
August 28, 200916 yr comment_5443424 I enjoyed this, really the chance to see Hamada in a singles match is such a treat. Solid slick stuff from Hamada and TM was around the match. Finish was really great with Hamada hitting this great looking tope, and then crashing and burning on a plancha for the countout. Move it on.
August 30, 200916 yr comment_5443514 I didn't enjoy this as much as Phil. It felt like a real letdown after the awesome tag match. There were some sloppy parts in the middle, some of the random trading holds that don't go anywhere. I agree with you guys that Hamada made the match and the tope was sweet but I would have given this a low-level last year. Not feeling it now.
