Posted May 26, 200916 yr comment_5439931 December 8, 1981, Tokyo - Sumo Hall Dusty Rhodes & Dick Murdoch vs. Rusher Kimura & Tiger Toguchi This was a bunch of fun and Kimura and Kim Duk hit hard, Dusty bled and danced and Murdoch threw punches. A little short, and not a disc selection but worth checking out. Andre the Giant vs. Killer Khan Not as good or long as the 1982 classic, so I think it can stay off, but man did these guys work well together. Only about seven minutes though, early 80's Andre ruled Stan Hansen & Roland Bock vs. Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami Decent match, I kind of enjoy Bock although I haven't seen anything yet that even approaches a set selection December 1, 1981 Tatsumi Fujinami & Tiger Mask vs. El Canek & Super Maquina It is always a treat to get a look at early 80's luchadores. I have never seen Super Maquina, and he was pretty solid, I thought Sayama looked good here, but this doesn't stand out from the pack.

This wasn't great overall. Toguchi and KImura spent a lot of time working some weird nerve hold on Dusty's underarm. Andre the Giant vs. Killer Khan - Not a great version of this match-up. Andre dominated too much. Stan Hansen & Roland Bock vs. Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami - Bock showed a bunch of interesting offense. He and Hansen really beat the hell out of Fujinami here. The overall match didn't stand out from the pack. December 1, 1981 Tatsumi Fujinami & Tiger Mask vs. El Canek & Super Maquina - I enjoyed Canek making fun of Sayama's size and tossing him around like a child. All in all, though, we have better stuff for everyone but Super Maquina, who wasn't that exciting.
