Choshu gets into an argument with the ref and Inoki hits a weak enziguiri to turn the tides. Cool in theory, poor in execution. Inoki proves to be just as vcious to Choshu and Choshu opens up a gusher. Pissed off, bloody Choshu is awesome. It comes into play when Choshu tries to apply a 2nd Sharpshooter but Inoki counters by punching him in the head until he falls to his knees. Sweet. Maybe someone can comment on how Choshu’s, leg became injured because it looked botched. If Inoki gave a headbutt to a running Choshu, cool. If he just grabs his leg and kicks it afterward then lame. It gives Inoki an excuse to kick the shit out of Choshu so that is a plus. The ending was pretty dramatic but kind of bullshit… did Choshu ever win against Inoki? I love this match-up but the results are leaving a bad taste in my mouth. 2/5/88 Shiro Koshinaka vs. Kuniaki Kobayashi (Sky A 96) - I like both guys but this just didn’t make an impression on me. When they started brawling before the match even started, I was amped up but it then descended back into junior stalling alternating with big moves. Besides Koshinaka’s SWEET missile dropkick, I can’t think of anything else that positively stands out in this match. Maybe I was in a bad mood but I wasn’t feeling the no-sell of the piledriver on the concrete.
