1/4/88 Hiroshi Hase vs. Owen Hart

- Nothing of note happening in the first few minutes. There is a nice forearm exchange in there but nothing else. They botch a missile dropkick spot where Owen was going for the dropkick but Hase wanted a counter and dropkick him as he was in the air. Obvious miscommunication spot. I started to tune out after about ten minutes because the match was… bland. They picked it up in the end but I was already gone. No vote.

1/4/88 Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Masa Saito

- Nothing going on until it goes outside and Saito becomes a beast. He just attacks Fujinami viciously, ramming his head into the rail and an exposed turnbuckle whn he tries to come back into the ring. OK, that attack should have resulted in some blood. After Fujinami fights back, Saito goes to work on the legs. And then you blink and Fujinami gets the pin after a failed suplex. No vote.

1/11/88 Tatsumi Fujinami & Kengo Kimura vs. Big Van Vader & Masa Saito

- Fujinami and Saito show more fight in the first three minutes than in the entire singles match above. I hope Phil didn’t nominate this match because even though Fujinami made contact, the over the ropes oversell on the enziguiri was pretty bad. He redeems himself by murdering Kimura in the ring. This means something later on as he kills him with a Vader splash and powerslam to end thematch. Or did the match end? Did they give Fujinami the break? Anyway, this was ok but I would have about 40-50 tags I could list above this. No vote.
