Steve Simpson & Scott Casey vs. Tim Brooks & The Grappler

OK.

Gary Hart Interview

Good stuff.

Roberto Soto vs. Matt Borne

Matt delivered as usual, keeping this interesting.

David Manning Interview

Served it's purpose.

Kevin Von Erich, Lance Von Erich, & Dingo Warrior Interview

Kevin gets his point across. Lance does too. Warrior is disappointingly coherent, but it's still interesting to see just how much of his act he already had formed by this point. Much as we all like to rag on him, it's still easy to look at him even at this point and see that he had that mysterious "it" that everyone talks about.

Tony Atlas Interview

I have enjoyed Tony Atlas doing strength competitions with Ken Patera and working as Mark Henry's valet, but this shone a completely different light on him, as this may be one of the best serious babyface promos I have ever seen. Seriously, I'd like to point to specific parts of it to illustrate my point, but I really feel like anything I say here would just lose the impact it had in the promo itself. Suffice it to say, it got me totally amped to see Atlas vs. Abdullah the Butcher, which could very easily have been a terrible match. Slam dunk extra.

Bruiser Brody Interview

Brody is interviewed by Gordon Solie in Florida, as he lost a loser leaves town match to Abby.

Tony Atlas vs. Master G (Television Title Match)

Not as exciting as Atlas' interview, I'll say that much. Jeez, all these matches are really long for TV.

Percy Pringle, Matt Borne, & Master G Interview

Does it's thing.

Brian Adias Interview

He's mildly less bland as a heel. Very, very mildly.

Bob Bradley Interview

Ladies and gentlemen, the least convincing street tough...ever.

Steve Simpson vs. Bob Bradley (Texas Title Tournament Semifinal Match)

All the tournament matches are from an earlier Ft. Worth show. Nothing much going on here.

The Dingo Warrior vs. Matt Borne (Texas Title Tournament Semifinal Match)

This was pretty good. Borne was the man, he always looked like a guy ready for a fight. That said, Warrior was actually kinda OK looking in this period. He wasn't great, but his offense was mostly fine other than his shitty clotheslines, and he actually sold back then. Dingo wins, but Borne jabs him in the leg with a chair, and wouldn't you know....

The Dingo Warrior vs. Bob Bradley (Texas Title Tournament Final Match)

....he actually sells it right on through into this match. Yes, this is a match built around the Warrior selling a body part, and doing a bang-up job of it, too. Bradley is nothing special, but Warrior's selling makes him look devastating (there's a sentence I never expected to write). Not a nomination, but certainly an interesting sight.

Lance Von Erich vs. Brian Adias

It goes along inoffensively, and then the show goes off the air mid-match.

Lance Von Erich & The Dingo Warrior vs. Matt Borne & Master G

We kick off the next week's show with a pretty solid match. There is some sort of weird video error in the midst of it...I don't think we miss too much.

Gary Hart Interview

He's still on about David Manning. Good stuff.

Red River Jack Vignette

Jack is Brody under a mask roughing it in the wilderness. I kinda liked it.

Lance Von Erich vs. Brian Adias

The match from the end of the previous week's show that got cut off. This was OK.

Al Madril and Brian Adias Interview

They're mildly more interesting as heels.

Kevin, Mike, & Lance Von Erich vs. Bob Bradley, Matt Borne, & Master G (Double Ring Match for the World Six-Man Tag Team Titles)

OK....so they start with one pairing in one ring, another pairing in the other ring, and then the winners from each "match" can stay in and tag in and out with the other guy left on on their team....aw, hell, I don't know. I just can't follow this one at all. There's some good action from Kevin and Borne, but I'd much rather focus on them in a singles bout than this. They don't even follow their own rules, anyway. I don't think. It's hard to tell.

Scott Casey & Steve Simpson vs. Killer Tim Brooks & The Grappler (Len Denton) (1/19/87)

This is JIP and it was just alright.

Gary Hart then cuts a promo on Tony Atlas saying that he is full of anabolic steroids. Extra material.

"Maniac" Matt Borne vs. Roberto Soto (1/19/87)

I liked this match as it had some good matwork and Borne was solid but not a nomination.

David Manning then cuts a promo about Gary Hart which was good.

Then we get promos by Kevin & Lance Von Erich and Dingo Warrior which were great in their own way especially Dingo.

Next is a Tony Atlas promo who starts talking about Abby beating him down making some fans laugh so he cuts a promo on them which was great. Atlas shows some good fire here and yeah this is extra material.

Then we get a Bruiser Brody promo from Florida with Gordon Solie next talking about making his return to Texas very soon.

World Class TV Title: Tony Atlas © vs. Master G (George Wells) (1/19/87)

Okay Atlas coming out to Footloose by Kenny Loggins dancing with various white women is fucking tremendous. Too bad the match really sucked.

Next is some good angry promos by Pringle, Borne, & Master G.

Then we get some uninspired heel promos to say the least by Adias & Bob Bradley.

Texas Heavyweight Title Tournament - Semifinals: Bob Bradley vs. Steve Simpson (1/12/87)

Nothing much to this.

Texas Heavyweight Title Tournament - Semifinals: Dingo Warrior (Jim Hellwig) vs. "Maniac" Matt Borne (1/12/87)

Borne & Percy made this fun and Dingo wasn't bad here as yes he did actually sell for Borne but this still wasn't anything special.

Texas Heavyweight Title Tournament - Finals: Bob Bradley vs. Dingo Warrior (Jim Hellwig) (1/12/87)

Borne attacked Dingo after the previous match with a chair to the leg and Bradley goes for it of course with Dingo doing a really good job of selling. This was very interesting to see Warrior actually sell making this match better than it should've been.

Brian Adias vs. Lance Von Erich (1/19/87)

The show cuts off during the match.

Dingo Warrior (Jim Hellwig) & Lance Von Erich vs. "Maniac" Matt Borne & Master G (George Wells) (1/5/87)

There was some video problems here but the match was okay especially considering the babyface side.

Gary Hart then cuts another great promo on David Manning.

Next is the first Red River Jack video and this is a definite extra.

Then we get the end of the Adias/Lance match from the previous week and it was again just okay.

Next we get a promo by Adias & Madril and they were a pretty decent heel combo mainly thanks to Madril.

World Class Six-Man Tag Titles: Kevin, Lance, & Mike Von Erich © vs. "Maniac" Matt Borne, Bob Bradley, & Master G (George Wells) (12/29/86)

This is set up in 2 rings with action going on in both rings and of course it gets confusing with the rules being forgotten. Cool spectacle and Kevin/Borne were good against each other but other than that this wasn't special.
