However, the big problem I have with the match is there wasn’t really any rhyme or reasons for their actions. Thankfully, they didn’t work the nerve hold too long. We criticize the juniors for your turn/my turn bullshit but that is what this match encompassed. Hiro Saito vs. The Cobra - (WWF Junior Title) - Damn, Cobra opening up with some fire. I really expected this to open up with Saito abusing Cobra with Cobra getting in some hope spots. Instead, Cobra is choking Saito with a rope, put him in a tree of woe that kind of fell apart and ramming him in the guard rail. I’ll have to read TV results but was there some incident or feud that actually gave the Cobra some personality? Shit, Cobra is killing my good vibe by applying the nerve hold. Thankfully Saito lifts him from a squat position and tosses him. Doesn’t last long as Cobra is in complete control. Shit, he tried to get him in a piledriver but Saito blocks it so he gives an early version of the Pedigree. This match is just a blast to watch with Cobra KILLING Saito but Saito nearly escaping. The end run is enjoyable but a little too random but still cool to see Saito grimacing in pain and refusing to quit. Oh shit, great enziguiri! Well, I heartily endorse the nomination even with the cobra losing. Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Bruiser Brody & Bad News Allen - I don’t really care to see if Inoki and Fujinami can carry Allen and Brody. When I get home, I’ll see if this was nominated.
