The Cobra vs. Don Arakawa - (NWA Junior Title)

- Arakawa sporting the Rusher Kimura tights. I am kind of digging Arakawa. Tha matwork was acceptable and then he throws in the bonus of some nasty forearms on Cobra’s head. Shit, check out Arakawa’s reverse crippler crossface. Whoa. When Saito and Cobra were going to the mat, I was not enthused. Arakawa is keeing it interesting. He throws some headbutts that would make Fujiwara proud and I love the way Cobra drops. Cobra does some shootkicks later on and Arakawa returns the favor with a wobbly drop. Seriously, this is pretty freaking good. It seems like a no-sell but before Cobra does his dropping piledriver, you see Arakawa cover his head with his arms to take the blow. Just a little detail can make the move that much more important. Like the Saito match, the German pin was out of nowhere but this deserves to be in the discussion. Nomination.

This was shockingly awesome. I have dug 2000 era Arakawa, but he was a beast in the 80's. It is funny how people talk about the famous Ganso bomb in the 1999 Kawada match, when Arakawa busts one out here in 1986. I loved Arakawa's top rope splash too, just an awesome bunch of offense. By far the best I have ever seen Cobra look. Feels like a slam dunk to me.
