Posted July 1, 200916 yr comment_5441380 Another really fun match. Liger was great in this, kicking Vader's head gear like a punk and then nailing the monster with a sliding kick. He later bumped aroud like a human atom when it was time for Vader's revenge. Vader was great too, tossing Liger around, bumping for Chono and Choshu. St. Clair and Pritchard looked good in their smaller parts. Delightful chaos overall. Here's another one that might fall off, but it deserves a look from everyone. Sky Classics 133
July 13, 200916 yr comment_5441864 Vader is so much fun in 1989, I need to watch some of the other nominated Vader tags to see which was the best, but I loved this. Vader v. Liger is such a cool match up and they really worked well together, Liger kicking the helmet ruled, as did the awkward superplex thingy to the floor. Also you really can't have a New Japan set without Dr. Tom Pritchard.
July 15, 200916 yr comment_5441985 I'm going to go no here. Vader and Liger were awesome here. And the Vader v Liger sections were really cool. Liger v Pritchard made me want to go throughthe Friedlander list and see if they matched up any other point. But Ligers partners were underwelming here and thought St Clair was actively bad.
July 26, 200916 yr comment_5442312 Absolutely loved the Vader-Liger interactions even with Liger teasing a dive from the top rope with Vader on the floor. Liger getting destroyed by Vader was a treat. However, I can see Tom's point about St. Clair. He doesn't know how to bump off a simple clothesline? me and Loss were commenting on Pritchard's tribute to Dee Snider with that wild blonde hair. Really hot ending but St. Clair really does bring this down. I'll go low-level nomination but give me the Liger-Vader singles match already.
