Posted July 6, 200916 yr comment_5441609 Bam Bam Bigelow/Vader/Rip Morgan vs. Antonio Inoki/Tatsumi Fujinami/Riki Choshu (01/06/89) Fun adrenaline shot highlighted by a blistering opening segment between Choshu and Bigelow. It went less than 10 minutes and we have better examples of this type of match. So no vote despite the entertainment value. Hiroshi Hase/Masa Saito vs. Shiro Koshinaka/Antonio Inoki (01/10/89) This just dragged on and on with Saito and Hase working over Koshinaka. I couldn't get into it. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Tatsumi Fujinami (01/10/89) This started promisingly with Fujinami going after Bigelow's legs and Bigelow smashing him with power offense. But it ended abruptly on an almost accidental looking reverse of a Bigelow suplex. These guys clearly had an excellent match in them, so I hope the February one is it. Riki Choshu vs. Vader (01/10/89) Aborted version of their typical match with the intense beginning, fierce brawling at ringside, etc. We've alraedy nominated more complete versions, so no need for this one. Super Strong Machine/George Takano vs. Tatsutoshi Goto/Antonio Inoki (01/16/89) This was all about hierarchy as Goto wanted to get in Takano and SSM's faces and they wanted to get in Inoki's face. They executed the story pretty well and kept the match cooking along. But nothing pushed it above the great mass of solid tags.
