Posted July 17, 200916 yr comment_5442058 Just like all the rest of their matches, really great, even though I didn't care for the overbooked crap at the finish with Flair getting a pin and Luger and Barry Windham running in. The match itself was pretty choice though, especially Steamboat destroying Flair's leg. Easy nomination.
July 25, 201411 yr comment_5614672 High End Nomination. This was just an amazing match. All the little nuances they had going on. The pace they were setting to go this long. Matsuda was actually effective here. The crowd seemed molten. The finish was what it was. Still what a match.
August 23, 20178 yr comment_5811928 NWA World Heavyweight Title: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat © vs. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair (3/18/89)They already had an amazing match earlier that day at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland and here is another one which was different in ways which was great. We get though a lot of their usual great spots and chemistry but unlike the Landover match, the Windhams show up along with Lex Luger and Flair gets a pin on Steamer with help from the ropes as the Philly fans lose their minds but it gets overturned and Steamer would pin Flair not like after that. Great match although not as a great as Landover but still a slam dunk nomination.
