I've been watching varous Jumbo AWA Title matches from All Japan Classics, and have really enjoyed what I've seen thus far. I'm curious if anyone knows what Dave's take on the decision to give Jumbo the title and any of his title defenses? Did Dave think Jumbo was lazy back in '84?

I've been watching varous Jumbo AWA Title matches from All Japan Classics, and have really enjoyed what I've seen thus far. I'm curious if anyone knows what Dave's take on the decision to give Jumbo the title and any of his title defenses? Did Dave think Jumbo was lazy back in '84?

Dave didn't think Tsurta was lazy, but didn't like the decision to give him the title. He felt that Tsurta just wasn't someone that American fans connected with at all, especially at a time when the WWF was making its national push around a larger-than-life figure like Hogan.
