Hash really drilled Berkovich with kicks to all parts of his anatomy. Berkovich responded with some brutal throws and suplexes. It could've been a contender, but the finishing submission struck me as really weak and out of step with the body of the match. Hash should have knocked him the fuck out if they wanted an abrupt ending. 7/28/89 Akira Nogami vs. Jushin Liger - Total sprint with both guys hitting some absolutely spine-crunching shit. Neither guy sold much and it doesn't rate with the junior stuff that will make the set. But I enjoyed watching it. 8/??/89 Masa Saito vs. Mike Hart - Two big bears trying to toss each other, with Saito using his more pro-style offense to gain the advantage. It was diverting enough bit short and unremarkable. 8/??/89 Timur Zalasov vs. Dick Murdoch - It was neat to see Murdoch working smoothly on the mat with one of the Russian amateurs. But Zalasov lacked the charisma of the better Russians. No vote.
