Posted August 29, 200916 yr comment_5443493 http://www.cagesideseats.com/2009/8/28/100...podcast-8-28-09 Rob Naylor finally rejoins me as we get back into the groove with the first Loser Leaves Town Podcast to be part of Cageside Seats (which is my main outlet now, but this site is staying put to make things easier for iTunes users and the like), part of the SB Nation network of blogs. In the sequel to our popular Pacific Islanders show, we discuss the many Russians throughout the years in pro wrestling on top of our favorite memories of IWA Mid-South. Learn which Russians were real (not a lot...at all), listen to us debate the merits of Nikolai Volkoff, be amazed at the match we suggested to IWA that they didn't book because they thought it wouldn't draw for some reason, and much more. Over 2 hours(!!! - It's not like you have to listen to it all in one sitting) of heart-stopping action and the usual fun that results from putting me and Rob together.
August 30, 200916 yr comment_5443517 Listening to this now. The Jimmy Garvin story is hilarious, especially seeing lots of WCW recently and watching Jimmy be an unprofessional prick numerous times when the Birds were jobbing. This is good shit Bix.
September 4, 200916 yr comment_5443817 This was a blast, you and Naylor should do these on a more regular basis. Rob Naylor recalling the time he gave his sister the Russian sickle was hilarious. Btw Bix, Kurt Brown mentioned doing some epic length podcasts with you about the WON HOF recently. So I was wondering if there is any time frame on when these are going to hit the internet?
September 4, 200916 yr Author comment_5443830 Part 1: http://www.cagesideseats.com/2009/9/4/1015...odcast-9-4-09-w Part 2 goes up Sun or Mon.
September 4, 200916 yr comment_5443832 Bix I truly enjoy your shows but can you please for once and for all sort out the audio on your end. Thanks
September 4, 200916 yr Author comment_5443833 I'm trying. The mild background noise on the newest shows is from doing them in a small room with the air conditioner on instead of the huge open living room/dining room/kitchen area of the previous shows, so shows after the next week or two when there's absolutely no more need for AC should be fine. I don't know what the distortion on the Kurt show is. I didn't use more noise reduction than usual so it shouldn't be that. Hopefully it's just a one time fluke but I'll be overly meticulous in post-producing Kurt part 2.
