Appears on Ginnetty '87. disc 26 3) Saito/Inoki Island Death Match - This is a must. Best clips appear on Ginnetty '87 season set, disc 24 4) 12/27/87 Vader shows up and squashes Inoki 5) 4/24/89 Hashimoto pins Choshu in 3 minutes (SKY 124) 5/18/87 Maeda vs. Saito - Awesome short match where Maeda bleeds like a stuck pig 7/22/88 Inoki vs. Choshu - Choshu's first singles win over Inoki, if it doesn't make the set 10/22/82 Choshu v. Fujinami - First singles match of feud 7/1/84 Bulldogs/Shultz vs. Fujinami/Cobra/Inoki - highest rated Bowdren match that has no chance to make the set 6/10/88 Owen vs. Yamada and 6/24/88 Owen vs. Koshinaka - If we're going to eschew any Owen singles, we might want to include clips of a few of the more famous ones. 1/6/83 Khan turns mid-match and joins Choshu's army 9/20/89 Liger vs. Sano, assuming it doesn't make the set 9/16/83 Fujiwara/Kimura vs. Murdoch/Bad News - best representation of the hard-head subplot that introduced Fujiwara to television 12/9/80 Dusty vs. Hogan - not a great match but people might like to see the pairing 11/27/81 Andre/Goulet vs. Murdoch/Hansen - Too short for a nomination but Phil and I marked out watching Andre toss around Hansen and Murdoch 1/1/84 Hulk Hogan wedding footage - not essential but amusing considering recent events 2/3/84 - Fujiwara joins the Choshu's Army feud, attacking Riki on the way to ring for his match w. Fujinami 2/10/84 - Awesome short match bewteen Fujiwara and Hamaguchi, first in a string 3/2/84 - Choshu vs. Fujiwara 4/6/84 Fujiwara vs. Hamaguchi - Another short, bloody feud heater 4/5/85 and 4/19/85 Training footage of Brody and his first match w. Inoki - Wrestling wasn't great but the build and atmosphere were 8/8/88 Inoki/Fujinami - Another famous and highly rated match that I wouldn't put on the set. Problem is that it's an hour draw and takes up a lot of space. Dan included the commercial release of this in his '88 set. 4/24/89 Liger debuts against Kobayashi - not a great match but first one under the mask (SKY 125)
September 28, 200916 yr Author comment_5444596 I ordered them vaguely. I think the first five or six are the only must-haves. Some of the matches are just kind of fun if you have an extra 10 minutes on a give disc.
